Why stain your garden shed?
Staining a garden shed is essential for protecting the wood and extending its lifespan. Stain protects against UV radiation, moisture, mould and weather conditions.
What you need
- Garden stain (opaque or transparent)
- Sandpaper (120 grit)
- Flat brush or roller
- Masking tape
Step 1: Preparation
Start by cleaning the wood. Lightly sand with 120 grit sandpaper.
Step 2: First coat
Apply the stain with a brush in the direction of the grain. Work from top to bottom.
Step 3: Drying and second coat
